Charlie is still young, fresh out of the egg at only twelve weeks old.

Charlie 12 weeks

While he seems somewhat dim in rather a large number of departments, Charlie is brighter than most suspect. For instance, having learned to plummet to the floor with the savagely clipped wings he came with (so bad he cannot even glide), he refused to get off the carpet and walk to assistance across the wooden floor.  Round and round the carpet he went for oh, half an hour.  Finally assistance coaxed him onto a finger after just a couple of steps on the wooden floor.  Next day he was willing to follow the finger around the corner of the assistance desk. The following day, he plummeted determinedly to the floor, picked himself up and marched around that desk looking for a foot on which to begin his journey up to assistance’s shoulder.

Charlie’s comment – if you look for it, there’s something wrong with everything, but if you look for it, there’s something right with everything. If you look for it, there’ll be assistance if you can recognise it.
